Opinel N°8 Outdoor Knife - Inox - Blue

Opinel N°8 Outdoor Knife - Inox - Blue is a multi-functional tool designed for enthusiasts of extreme sports, sailing, climbing, and high-mountain tourism. Produced by the legendary French brand Opinel, this model is a modern evolution of the classic knife, adapted to the most challenging terrain conditions. Thanks to its bright blue color, the knife is easy to locate in your gear or if dropped in water or dense vegetation.

The main advantage of the knife is its 2.5 mm thick blade, made of modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. The blade features partial serration (3.5 cm), which facilitates cutting natural and synthetic ropes and straps. Additionally, the blade includes a cutout that serves as a shackle key (for sizes 4-10 mm), making this knife an indispensable piece of equipment for every sailor. Operational safety is guaranteed by the patented Virobloc ring, which allows the blade to be locked in both the open and closed positions.

The ergonomic handle is made of two types of materials: hard fiberglass-reinforced polyamide and soft, rubberized elastomer. This construction ensures a secure grip even with wet hands and is resistant to extreme temperatures (from -40°C to +80°C) as well as moisture. Integrated into the bottom of the handle is an emergency whistle with a power of 110 dB, audible from a long distance, along with a practical attachment point with a synthetic lanyard, allowing the knife to be secured to a carabiner or belt.
